About

Disclaimer:  I'm well aware of the potential double meaning of the name of this blog.  This is simply a bad pun of a 90s song, and is NOT intended to be a creepy sex blog...although I reserve the right to talk about it freely!

My name is Brian, I'm an American ex-pat moving to Thailand.  After returning from an unforgettable trip there back in Nov 2013, I sat down to my desk job at a technology company and knew I was done with this kind of life.  I no longer felt inspired.

I met many people from all over the world traveling around, living unique lives, with different values and interesting perspectives.  I was around kindred souls!  These are people who shared the same drive to explore their lives differently, and not afraid to live the way they choose.  I was really inspired by people living like this. Living with a truer sense of freedom, even for an American.

I knew I needed to live my life more inspired, and never felt more so than my time in Thailand.

So, now I'm moving there.

The feedback I received from friends and family really surprised me too.  People were excited, and  expressed how my decision alone inspired them personally.  I was really touched by this, and helped me realize this is the right decision for me.

I'm meant to live differently, and need to find out what that actually means.

I quit my job.  I sold all my personal belongings.  I visited home for Christmas to say farewell to my family and friends.

So now, with only my backpack filled with some remaining clothes, I'll board a one-way flight to Thailand Feb 3rd, 2014 to start my new adventure.

Like my trip last Nov, I have no plans except to remain open to opportunity, to stay positive, and believe good things will come.  I have faith things will work out the way they are suppose to, and I'm excited to see where that leads.

This blog is to document this experience and the inspiration that drives it.  This blog will evolve and change identity as I continue to write.  I've never been a writer or blogger, but felt compelled to try once I made the biggest decision of my life.

Thanks for reading,

Kobkunkrub!
